The State Security Committee of Kazakhstan reported that a coup attempt was prevented and a group of 10 people was arrested who planned to "violently change the foundations of the constitutional system in the western part of the republic. According to the TengriNews portal, the defendants are suspected of creating, leading and participating in the activities of an extremist group as well as promoting terrorism and inciting religious hatred. It is clarified that the detainees organized the work of three underground education centers for children and teenagers. The activity of these organizations was stopped.
