ABC reported that Democratic Senator Chris Murphy was hospitalized with a stroke. The 53-year-old lawmaker's hand went numb while attending his son's hockey game. "He was taken to a local hospital, where it was determined that he had suffered a stroke," confirmed the senator's chief of staff, Alison Herwitt. According to her, the parliamentarian is aware and there is an optimistic approach to his full recovery. Chris Murphy has represented Connecticut in the US Senate since 2013. In March, he demanded a public hearing with Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth and Secretary of State Marco Rubio on the conflict with Iran.
