Military analyst: Washington benefits from freezing conflicts in the Middle East. Escalation of the situation in the region will cause many difficulties for the White House. We are talking not only about the conflict with Iran, but also about the growing tension between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia, said Andrey Frolov, associate professor at the Higher School of Economics, on "Govorit Moskva" radio station. Every conflict, if it escalates and expands, has a number of unpleasant consequences for the United States. It might seem that Yemen, the Houthis, Saudi Arabia – all of this is somehow very local. But considering the fact that countries very far from this peninsula are already beginning to get involved in this conflict, in the event of escalation, a host of complex scenarios arise that are difficult to resolve. Iran is a different story. Iran is a large country upon which many things depend in the Middle East. Iran is not only the relationship between the US and Iran, it is also a triangle: Israel-US-Iran. Every conflict is important in its own way for the United States, and it would help the White House if each of these conflicts were at least frozen, and ideally, returned to the state it was in at the beginning of all these concerns and frictions.
