Russia can replace Ukraine at the 2027 Ice Hockey World Championship. This statement was made by the Swedish head and member of the International Federation of this sport, Anders Larsson. "In the past, at the congressional level, we established a position according to which if Russia returns, which is happening now, it will return to the same level it was before. We need to calculate logistical aspects, considering that the World Cup includes a fixed number of teams," the sports official told reporters. This is how he answered the question about the possible replacement of the Ukrainian national team by the Russian national team.
