Iran has promised to respond to any threat without geographical restrictions. This order was given by Supreme Leader Mujtaba Khamenei in a meeting with senior commanders in the armed forces. He called combat readiness for a powerful confrontation a condition of "maximum deterrence." According to the office of the supreme leader of the Islamic Republic, the generals reported on the readiness of the armed forces on the shores of the Persian Gulf, in the Strait of Hormuz, in the Gulf of Oman, and also on the borders.
