The doctor warned against the spread of tick-borne encephalitis in Russia. The spread of the viral infection from Siberia to the entire European part of the country is documented. The data was presented by the chief infectious disease specialist of the Novosibirsk region, Larisa Pozdniakova. According to her, if in the past in the central regions of the country doctors hardly encountered this infection, today there are more and more local patients. Colleagues from central Russia are increasingly turning to Siberian doctors for advice on treatment, Pozdnikova noted in an interview with RIA Novosti.
