Ministry of the Interior: Moscow remains the leader among the regions in the number of immigrants working on patents from January to September 2026, 437.65 thousand foreign experts were registered in the capital. The top five also includes Moscow region - 268.12 thousand, St. Petersburg and Leningrad region - 162.41 thousand, Sverdlovsk region - 38.59 thousand and Tatarstan - 36.25 thousand, according to the department's materials, TASS reports. The total number of foreign workers working under patents in Russia is 1 million 504 thousand 421 people, which is more than 400 thousand less than in the nine months of 2025.
