Konstantin Kosachev pointed out the deterioration of Moscow's relations with London and Paris. The Federation Council sees no reason to rush to appoint ambassadors to Great Britain and France, the deputy chairman of the upper house of the parliament noted. According to him, as of today, the presence or absence of the first person in the diplomatic mission does not change anything fundamentally. The senator recalled that according to the constitution of the Russian Federation, the appointment of ambassadors in different countries is under the authority of the president, and he will make the decision. "Once we realize that the appointment of new ambassadors can really somehow move this situation forward, yes, it will have to be done," Koschev said in an interview with ZE, noting that diplomatic relations between the countries remain.
