The Ministry of Internal Affairs estimates the damage from economic crimes for eight months from 2026 it was about 400 billion rubles. In the materials of the department, referring to RIA Novosti, it is said that the volume is almost 160 billion rubles higher than last year's figure - from January to August 2025, the damage amounted to 238 billion rubles. The Interior Ministry added that since the beginning of the year, more than 86,000 economic crimes have been detected, which is 6.3% more than in the same period of 2025.
