"broken believers"; What happened to the immunity of hospitals?

The book "Shattered Saints" (Sanctuaires brisés) written by Iraj Sobhani, professor of medicine and director of the gastroenterology department of the Henri Mondor Hospital in the suburbs of Paris, was recently published in French by Hermatan Publishing in France, which deals with the state of Iran's hospitals and health centers in 12-42.

Iraj Sobhani, who left his homeland at the age of fifteen, studied and worked in France and wrote books and articles in both French and Persian.

🔸 The immunity of medical centers is now increasingly violated at the global level and during conflicts, from attacks by Salami Republic agents on hospitals to the bombing of Ukrainian hospitals by Russia and the destruction of clinics in Gaza. In his book he discusses several aspects of the violation of this type of immunity. In his new book, he not only presents a report on the damages of the 12- and 40-day wars, but from a more basic point of view, he raises the question of why infrastructures such as hospitals, medical centers, universities and research institutions, which are supposed to receive the highest level of protection in wars, have become part of the conflict field?

In fact, this gastrointestinal cancer doctor examined the evolving nature of war in the 21st century in "Shattered Mothers" whose title is metaphors from damaged hospitals and medical centers.

Mr. Sobhani states in the book's introduction that he does not intend to rewrite the political and military history of the wars, but his purpose is to examine the destruction of civilian infrastructure and its consequences on people's lives.

He also believes that the Iranian government is facing a crisis of legitimacy, and at the same time, it has managed to connect its survival to the survival of the country in the context of widespread economic difficulties and social crisis. He also believes that the ground military attack and the spread of attacks on civilian targets will change the "natural course" of internal developments in the country.
