🔸Jeddy Vance, the vice president of the United States, said on Wednesday that the war with Iran caused the defeat of the Republicans in the midterm elections. At the same time, the leader of the Democrats in the US Senate also promised the party's efforts to end this war.
Vance wrote in a long message on the X social network: "The reason for our defeat is war. The president himself said the same thing last night. He mentioned Donald Trump's statement that the war with Iran was "one of the causes" of the failure, but he still considers it a justified action.
🔸 The US President said in an interview with Fox News an hour after confirming the victory of the Democratic Party in both houses of the US: "I think part of it was related to Iran, but at the same time, people understood the importance of the actions I took towards Iran." Vance added in another part of his statement: “If you want to argue that this war was worth it and that losing the majority of the Senate for the next six years was an acceptable price, then do it. Argue that the costs are worth paying. Agree or disagree, at least it's an honest position."
He continued: "But everyone knows why we failed. "Any honest conversation about the direction we should take from here on out should start from this point."
