In publishing a message attributed to Mujtaba Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic, the media of the Islamic Republic wrote that it is a "mistake" to hope to change the behavior of the United States following the change of political parties or to try to reduce Washington's hostility by making concessions. In this message published on Wednesday, November 4, it was said: "If there are still those who have little hope for a change of behavior or an exchange of parties and factions in the ruling system, or if they think that by making concessions to America they can dissuade it from enmity with the Iranian nation, they are gravely mistaken." The release of this announcement comes one day after the mid-term elections of the US Congress, which, according to the predictions of the US media, the Democrats are on their way to gain control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate. In another part of the text attributed to Mujtaba Khamenei, any approach based on making concessions to America is described as encouraging that country to "more extravagance and subsequent wars and audacity." Yesterday Masoud al-Madjian emphasized once again that Mujtaba Khamenei gave the government new powers to negotiate with the United States.
