🔸 The General Directorate for Environmental Protection in North Khorasan published new photos of two cubs of "Helia", the Asian cheetah, on its Instagram page.

These two cheetahs have been living independently from their mother since May of this year and have been seen several times in the Myandshet Jaram Wildlife Sanctuary.

🔸 Majed Derkund, the county's director of environmental protection, described the physical condition of the two yaks as good and said his monitoring groups are continuously monitoring this habitat.

Helia was observed and recorded for the first time in the first birth registration on August 11, 1401 together with her two cubs within the boundaries of the Yozakanam cooperative conservation area.

The Iranian or Asian cheetah was once spread over large areas in Asia, but today it is on the list of animals on the verge of extinction of the International Union for Conservation of Nature.

There are no exact statistics of the number of cheetahs in Iran.

Miandasht Wildlife Reserve is considered one of the most important habitats of Asiatic Cheetahs in Iran.
