Halivaf: We gave a rational answer to America; Report on the "great distance" between Tehran and Washington until the agreement.

At the same time as the efforts of the mediators between Iran and the US and the mutual threats of senior officials in both countries continue, an Iranian official told the Reuters news agency that Iran and the US still have a "long way to go" to reach an agreement to end the war.

On Tuesday, November 3, this anonymous official added: "If the United States wants to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, Tehran's conditions must be met."

According to this official, nuclear negotiations can only begin once this is achieved and Tehran will never give in to Washington's "maximum demands".

Additional details about these requirements have not been published. This official's statements are a repeat of the previous positions of other senior Iranian officials, who emphasized the need to implement the Islamic Republic's seven conditions for negotiations and agreements, and said that only after the implementation of these conditions, India is ready to negotiate on nuclear issues.

These conditions include the lifting of the naval blockade, the release of Iran's blocked assets and the lifting of sanctions on the sale of oil.

Qatari mediators, continuing their efforts to defuse tensions, traveled to Tehran on Monday night to discuss the draft agreement between Iran and the US. The agreement according to which negotiations have been ongoing since eight days ago.

The new round of efforts to bring Iran and the US closer to an agreement is carried out after the letter of Jeddy Vance, the Vice President of the United States, to Mohsen Razai, the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council. Names whose details have not been officially published, but Mohsen Razai called his writing a positive step. On Tuesday, Mohammad Bakr Ghalibaf, the speaker of the parliament and head of Iran's negotiating team, responded to this letter without mentioning it. He said: "Let the countries of the region know that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to fight with its finger on the trigger, it gave a powerful and rational answer to the American side, and now the ball is in America's court to prevent war."

Halibaf continued to repeat the positions of other senior officials in the Salami Republic in recent days regarding the preparation for an "unpredictable" and "beyond geographical limit" response to possible US attacks and said that America "will face a new battlefield this time."
