Asian Cup of Nations held in Saudi Arabia postponed On Tuesday, November 3, the Asian Football Confederation announced the postponement of the Asian Cup of Nations to next year due to the recent attacks on Saudi Arabia.

The new round of the Asian Cup of Nations was supposed to be held in Saudi Arabia at the beginning of 2027 (December this year), but according to the announcement of the Asian Football Confederation, the holding of these competitions will be postponed to December and January of the following year (December and December 1406).

The organizing committee of these competitions said in a statement that the decision to change the schedule was made due to "exceptional conditions caused by developments in the region, including significant logistical complications and travel disruptions."

Recent attacks by the Houthis in Yemen on various parts of Saudi Arabia, including the country's airports, have raised doubts about the possibility of holding the Asian Cup. So far, several international economic and sports events in Saudi Arabia have been canceled or postponed due to these attacks.
