Trump: For the agreement with Iran, we want a guarantee that it will never have nuclear weapons.

The President of the United States says the Islamic Republic of Iran wants a deal with Washington, but to get one it must guarantee it will never acquire nuclear weapons.

On Friday, November 8, Donald Trump said in an interview with the "Kisiamaw" radio station in Kansas City, emphasizing the necessity of obtaining this guarantee: "They want to make an agreement, but we need a guarantee that there will never be a nuclear weapon."

He also expressed confidence that the war with Iran would end soon, but did not explain how that would happen.

The American president said: "This issue will be resolved soon."

In another part of this interview, referring to the US military's attacks on Iran, Trump said that the Salami Republic's radar and air defense capabilities had been destroyed and its leaders had been killed. He added: "Their leaders have disappeared to such an extent that we don't know who to negotiate with, but these are small details."

The American president also revisited the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran, which was signed during Barack Obama's presidency, calling it a pathway for Tehran to obtain nuclear weapons.

Trump said that if Iran had obtained nuclear weapons, the current situation would be very different.

These statements were made at the same time as new efforts to reach an agreement between Tehran and Washington.
