The CEO of Iran's National Gas Company warned that 11 out of 30 districts in the country will face "gas tension" this winter.
Said Tabakuli told the official news agency of the Republic of Salamis, IRNA, that in the last five days, gas consumption in the country has increased by "about 70 million cubic meters, equivalent to 30%" in parallel with the cooling weather.
🔸Tavakali also predicted another increase: "According to the weather forecasts and the normal amount of rainfall in the western and northwestern regions of the country, it is expected that with the drop in air temperature, the use of heating systems and, consequently, gas consumption will increase."
According to him, "at the peak of consumption, for every one degree drop in air temperature, about 25 million cubic meters will be added to the country's gas consumption, equivalent to one phase of South Fars."
This increase in gas consumption in the country will occur while, according to the CEO of the National Iran Gas Company, part of the gas production infrastructure in the country was damaged in the middle of the war last March.
