The administration of Donald Trump has expelled a Cuban diplomat from the United States following an argument and confrontation between American and Cuban diplomats on the floor of the United Nations General Assembly.
Mike Waltz, the US representative to the United Nations, announced on Wednesday, November 6, that Richard Torre de la Concepción, the first secretary of Cuba's mission to the United Nations, was expelled from that country "due to physical contact" with an American diplomat.
This decision was made after a heated debate between Waltz and Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Faria on Tuesday, November 5, during the United Nations General Assembly meeting regarding the US economic embargo on Cuba.
The American representative also accused a Cuban diplomat of pushing the member of the American delegation and intending to attack him.
