The solo performance of Elin, the German wife of Mohsen Rastani, was part of the funeral ceremony of this veteran photographer, which was held in front of the artists' house on October 27. Ishaq Aghai, a photographer, posted photos from this performance on his Instagram page.
🔸 Rastani died on the third of November 1405 at the age of 68, after suffering a period of illness. In a short message, Saifula Samadian announced the time of his death at 7:30 and wrote: "Mohsen Rastani has left the Iranian family."
🔸 He was born in 1337 in Hormashhar and was one of the well-known figures of documentary and social photography in Iran. The pictures of the war, the lives of the people and the "Iranian Family" collection are among his works.
In "Iranian Family", Rastani depicted people against a white background. Earlier he compared the documentary value of this collection with the pictures of the Qajar period and said: "We can relate to the people and works of that time by looking at the pictures." He also said about the future of this collection: "I will write in my will that the Iranian family project belongs to the Iranian nation and every talented person who can should continue it."
