Reza Valizada, an Iranian-American citizen and former journalist of Radio Farda, imprisoned in Evin prison, announced in a new message about the long delay in treating his physical problems and the refusal to transfer him to the hospital. In this message he wrote that at the beginning of April of this year, after seeing blood in his urine test, the doctors of Evin prison determined that he should be transferred to the hospital to check his physical condition and perform an ultrasound test, but six months later the approval for this transfer has not yet been given. Valizada also announced that on the 18th of Mahar, after examining him in prison, a general surgeon deemed it necessary to perform surgery to treat hernias in two areas of his abdomen and requested ultrasound tests and pre-operative tests. According to this imprisoned journalist, the prison doctor also prescribed him a lung CT scan in early October due to breathing problems. Concerns about the health condition of this jailed journalist were raised earlier as well. Reza Valizada has been imprisoned in Iran since 1403 and was sentenced to 10 years in prison on the charge of "cooperation with the hostile government".
