🔸 Hamid Tzarubian, a wildlife photographer and senior expert in animal biology, documented the image of a Meral glory next to a brown bear in the Kiasar National Park in the Horkania forests.
Marl, also known as Iranian red deer, is the largest domestic deer species in the country. This animal lives mainly in the Horkanin forests of northern Iran, but pressures such as the destruction of some of its natural habitats and illegal hunting have reduced its population in some areas.
🔸 Iran's Harkania Forest, which is 40 million years old, is considered one of the most valuable forests in the world, which was registered as the second natural heritage of Iran in the UNESCO World Heritage List in July 2018.
