A day before the national elections held in Israel's captivity, the defense minister of this country denied the reports of a sharp disagreement between Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister, and Israel's captive army regarding the ground attack in Iran.

In a statement published on Monday, November 4, Israel Katz said that "there is no intention on the part of Israel's captives to launch a ground attack on Iran before the elections."

This statement was issued in response to a report by several captive media outlets, including Channel 12 in this country. In these reports, citing anonymous sources, it is said that there is tension and conflict between Benjamin Netanyahu and Eyal Zamir, the commander of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, against the background of "a new order that is not clear what it was" regarding Iran.

This media outlet did not provide additional details about the aforementioned order, but cited sources and wrote that there is a fear in the military that the war with Iran could be used for political gain. In his announcement, the Defense Minister called the published reports and the reactions to them a "shameful and irresponsible" attempt by political opponents to destroy the government on the eve of the elections.
