Aleksandar Vučić, the right-wing politician and former president of Serbia, by accepting the defeat in the parliamentary elections in this country, opened the way for the transfer of power in this Balkan country.

"Obviously, we lost this election," he said on Sunday night, November 3, at a press conference after voting ended across Serbia.

But Vucic, reacting before accepting the defeat, said that the result of this election was the "dirty work" of the opponents of Donald Trump's policies in America, as well as the work of some leaders from European countries.

Aleksandar Vucic has been the dominant political figure in Serbia for the past decade, but his power has been challenged by a rise in public interceptions in recent years.

He resigned from the presidency in September and, having been in that position for two terms, hoped to become prime minister by winning this election. The defeat of Vucic, who is known to be close to Russia, could be the beginning of a new era in the politics of this country in greater alignment with the European Union.
