A massive fire in a historic residence in southern Germany, built during the Nazi regime and used by Adolf Hitler, caused heavy damage to the building.

According to Reuters, a fire broke out in the building known as the "Eagle's Nest" on Friday, November 1, and about 200 firefighters and rescue teams were mobilized to contain the flames in the mountainous region of Berchtesgaden in the state of Bavaria.

This building, whose original name is "Klasteinhaus", is located at an altitude of about 1,830 meters above sea level, in the Alps and near the border of Germany and Austria.

The said residence was built in 1938 to host Nazi party officials and their guests, and Hitler also visited it sometimes; For this reason, it was also known as "Hitler's Tea House". This building is different from Hitler's original summer residence, known as the Berghof. The German newspaper "Bild", quoting the police spokesman, wrote that the severity of the damage to this historic building is so great that apparently it cannot be saved.
