The military coalition led by Saudi Arabia announced on Saturday, November 2, that it had intercepted two missiles launched by the Houthis in Yemen towards the cities of Taif and Yanba in the west of the country.
This news came shortly after the Saudi Civil Defense Organization issued a warning of "possible danger" in several western regions of the country, including Makkah, Taif and Yanba, and asked residents to seek shelter in the nearest safe place.
These warnings were lifted minutes later.
Saudi Arabia's Civil Defense Organization also warned that publishing images or information related to the anti-missile and drone operation is prohibited and will be prosecuted.
In recent weeks, Saudi Arabia has been the target of missile and drone attacks by the Houthis, who are supported by the Islamic Republic. This group, which is fighting the recognized government of Yemen, which is supported by Saudi Arabia, has targeted the country's airports and oil facilities.
