Lockheed Martin's agreement with the Pentagon to produce 850 F-35 aircraft over a decade.

The American arms company Lockheed Martin has announced that it has reached a preliminary agreement with the United States Department of Defense for the sale of at least 850 F-35 stealth fighter jets over the next ten years.

According to a Reuters report on Thursday, October 22, the value of this agreement is estimated at at least 78 billion dollars, but its implementation requires the approval of the US Congress and does not yet mean the registration of a definite order for the purchase of fighter jets.

Based on this agreement, Lockheed Martin plans to maintain the annual production of 156 F-35 aircraft for American and foreign customers and allocate at least seven billion dollars of its resources to develop the production, maintenance and upkeep capability of these fighter jets.

🔸 F-35 stealth fighter jets were among the military aircraft used by the United States and Israeli captives in the war with Iran. The announcement of the agreement takes place in a situation where this war and other regional conflicts have increased the demand for fighter planes, weapons and air defense systems.

🔸 Lockheed Martin also announced that the value of this company's registered but delivered orders reached a record of $292 billion. This increase is partly due to the contract of 52 billion and 500 million dollars for the production of interceptor missiles of the Patriot system, which were widely used by Georgia during the Iran War.

Following the release of this news, the value of Lockheed Martin shares rose 10% in trading on Thursday, and the company increased its annual sales forecast to about 80-82 billion dollars.
