Trump: Iran aims to raise the price of oil with fake attacks on the eve of the American elections.
US President Donald Trump has accused the Islamic Republic of trying to drive up the price of oil on the eve of the US midterm elections by publishing fake news about ground attacks on ships and their collision with sea mines.
On Thursday, October 22, he wrote in his account on the social network Al-Hawata: "Iran is doing everything in its power to raise the price of oil before the mid-term elections in the United States."
He added: "They even fake attacks, mines and everything else, because now more oil is passing through the Strait of Hormuz than before the conflict."
Mr. Trump's statements came hours after the Revolutionary Guards announced a ground attack on several ships in the Persian Gulf and several other encounters with naval mines.
🔸 The Revolutionary Guards announced on Thursday that four vessels were targeted while transferring cargo to each other and these vessels caught fire. This military institution also claimed that three more ships were hit by sea mines. Independent confirmation of the status of these seven ships has not yet been published.
In another part of his message, the US president accused the Islamic Republic of continuing to kill protesters and wrote that the Iranian government continues to kill protesters and anyone who stands in its way.
He described the Iranian government as "evil" and added that he hoped the people of America and the world would understand its nature.
Trump also wrote: "75 thousand protesters have been killed in less than seven months" and criticized what he called the indifference of the world and the American Democratic Party towards this issue.
🔸 Earlier, on Monday, October 19, in an election speech in the state of Kansas, he talked about the killing of at least 75,000 protesters in Iran.
🔸 Interceptions in January 1404 in Iran were met with bloody repression by the security forces, and many reports indicate that thousands of people were killed.
