🔸 The government of Iran, under conditions of a fuel shortage and fear of the worsening of the energy crisis on the brink of winter, required the executive bodies to make employees who can perform their duties in their absence work at least two days a week.

🔸 According to the regulations, the details of which were published in the Iranian media on Thursday, October 22, the purpose of this decision is to reduce fuel consumption, traffic and the use of private cars.

This decree also obliges the government authorities to reduce the share of employees going to work by private car to 30% at the most within three years and to designate one day a week as a "day without a private car".

This regulation does not specify what measures the government will use to reduce the use of private cars.

The publication of this regulation comes at a time when an official at the Ministry of Petroleum announced a daily deficit of 10 million liters of gasoline and the government raised the price of gasoline also in the third quota. On the other hand, the government spokesman warned in early October that due to the damage to the energy infrastructure during the war, there is a possibility of a gas shortage in the northern districts of the country.
