continued border trade restrictions; Truck traffic from Iran to Pakistan is "still blocked".
A member of the Salami Parliament's National Security Committee says that despite the Pakistan Army Chief's "order" to open the border with Iran, Iranian trucks are still not allowed to enter the country.
Fadhossein Maliki said on Thursday, October 22, during Asim Munir's trip to Tehran, the issue of closing the border between Iran and Pakistan came up with him, and Munir "ordered to open the border" from Tehran.
Zahdan's representative in the parliament added after his monitoring from the province of Sistan and Baluchistan, it was said that the reopening of the border is "one-way": "This means that trucks based in Pakistan enter Iran, but the movement from Iran to Pakistan is still blocked."
While the pressure of the United States on various countries to limit financial and commercial exchanges with Iran increased. At the beginning of the week, reports were published about the closure of a border crossing between Iran and Pakistan and the suspension of trade between the two countries, and the Iranian Foreign Ministry confirmed this news and said that it was "temporary".
However, Padahossein Maliki threatened that if there is no change in this situation, Iran will also block its border with Pakistan.
On Wednesday, reports were also published about the Iraqi government's action in closing the Chadaba border with Iran.
A member of the National Security Committee of the Majles implicitly approved this action by Baghdad and attributed it to "American political pressures."
