Greece's finance minister has officially announced the start of sanctions related to Iran.
Following the economic and financial pressure on the Iranian government due to the extensive US sanctions, the Greek government officially announced on Thursday, October 22, that it has begun implementing these sanctions.
According to the Reuters news agency, the Greek Finance Ministry announced on Thursday that it has begun implementing economic and financial sanctions related to the Republic of Salami as well as supporting efforts to combat money laundering and the financing of assassinations.
This news comes a day after the US Treasury announced in a statement that it had sanctioned the law firm Carnakis & Karnakis, based in Greece and Panama, for years of dealings with the financial institutions of the Republic of Salami.
It was also mentioned in the announcement of the Ministry of Finance that a warrant was issued to investigate a Greek bank; The name of this bank was not mentioned in the statement. Almost eight months after the start of the American war and captivity with Iran, the circle of sanctions against Tehran is getting tighter every day.
In addition to the continuation of the naval blockade on Iran, imposed by the US military since July 14, the Ministry of Finance of this country began to tighten the sanctions on Iran under the title "Operation Economic Exclusion" from the beginning of September.
🔸 As part of this plan, the United States imposed sanctions on all Iranian airlines, and subsequently, starting in early October, several countries banned the entry and exit of Iranian flights from their airports.
At the time of the start of this economic operation, Scott Bessant, the US Treasury Secretary, warned all of Washington's allies that on the issue of Iran's economic isolation, they must choose between "being with America or standing against it."
