Muhammad Bakr Ghalibaf, chairman of the Salami Council, also said Tuesday, in a separate meeting with the Pakistani army chief, that the Salami Republic has no new position to present to America and that Washington should implement Tehran's previous conditions.
He said: "We have nothing new to say, and America cannot win Iran's trust except by implementing Iran's seven conditions presented in New York."
Mr. Khalibaf accused the Donald Trump administration of violating the Islamabad accord and said the US president's frequent threats added to Tehran's mistrust.
🔸 Salami is referring to the memorandums of understanding signed between the presidents of Iran and the United States on June 28, and as a result, the war that began on March 9 last year was stopped.
That memorandum, however, collapsed less than three weeks later, after Iran attacked three ships in the Strait of Hormuz and the US military then struck again in response. Since then, efforts to reach a sustainable agreement have yet to be reached, and Iran has been saying for several weeks that it is considering a new American proposal to end the war.
