gradual removal of Tehran's trade routes; Will Turkey also close its border with Iran?

While traffic and border relations between Iran and Pakistan have been suspended, eyes in Iran are focused on trade with other neighboring countries, especially Turkey. What is the trade situation between Iran and Turkey and can Tehran compensate for the trade blow from Pakistan?

In recent months, especially after the restriction of the sea lanes, the importance of Pakistan has doubled for the supply of Iran's basic goods as well as for the export of the country's products, and the temporary suspension of even the exchanges between the two countries will bring a severe blow to Iran's crisis economy.

Omid Shukri, energy analyst and senior visiting researcher at George Mason University, tells Farda Radio: "The closing of the trade border between Iran and Pakistan is a reminder of the fact that people's daily lives are connected to trade with their neighbors." According to this analyst, when the passage of goods was stopped, "the merchant loses as well as the driver, the worker and the shopkeeper whose income depends on the opening of the border".

Omid Shukri warns that if this situation continues, its effects will go beyond the border cities and affect the production process and even the price of goods.
