The Kremlin: Putin conveyed to Trump Iran's view on the end of the war

The Kremlin announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin, with the coordination of Massoud Pazhkian, conveyed to Donald Trump Iran's views regarding a possible solution to ending the war with America.

According to the Interfax news agency, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Saturday, October 18, that Putin informed Pezhkyan of his upcoming phone call with the US president in one of his meetings.

Peskov added: "Then Putin, with the coordination of the Iranian president, conveyed to Trump the point of view of the Iranian side regarding a possible settlement of the conflict."

He did not give details about this opinion.

Putin and Pazhkyan held a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the Commonwealth of Nations Summit and the Caspian Sea Environment Summit in Turkmenistan and also attended a tripartite meeting with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Iranian media reported that Massoud Pazhkian said in this meeting about the negotiations with America: "We gave proposals and the Americans also gave new proposals. We made our corrections to these proposals. "After it is finally finished, we are going to sit through the existing interfaces and summarize them."

US Vice President Jeddy Vance told Reuters on October 15 that the US is in talks and negotiations with Iranian President Massoud Pazhkian and Foreign Minister Abbas Iraqichi, but it is unclear to Washington how much decision-making authority these two officials have in Iran's current power structure.

On the evening of Friday, October 17, Donald Trump said at an election rally in New York that he expects to "resolve or win" the war with Iran and the war with Russia against Ukraine soon, and the threatened Islamic Republic of Iran will accept Washington's demands or "it will cease to exist." A few hours ago he did not rule out the possibility of another ground attack on Iran before the mid-term elections in the United States.
