Thailand's Royal Family Office announced that Sutida, that country's queen, took control of a fighter jet alone for the first time on Thursday, October 16.
After the flight, the King of Thailand greeted him with a bouquet of flowers and a "gold patch of the Gripen Order". This badge was given to people who flew the Gripen fighter jet.
Sotida started flying since 2010 and so far has about 1,888 hours of flight experience with different types of aircraft, including the Boeing 737.
He was also present on several royal flights as the king's co-pilot; Including the official visit of the Thai royal family to Bhutan in 2025.
