The US State Department's report on the policy of using "child rapists" by the Iranian government
In its latest report on human trafficking in 2026, the US State Department announced that the Iranian government has adopted the policy of using and recruiting "child traffickers".
This detailed report was published on Thursday, Mehr 16, and the period under review covers April 1404 to April 11, 1405, which includes the suppression of the intercepts in January of last year.
One of the most important parts of this report, dealing with the various aspects of human trafficking in Iran, says that the Salami Republic uses Iranian children as well as Afghan, Pakistani and Syrian immigrant children for military purposes and activities.
The report states that, as in previous reporting periods, the Revolutionary Guards "recruited and used young children as soldiers and supported non-governmental armed militant groups that forcibly recruit and use children as soldiers." The US State Department added that "Iranian authorities, including the Revolutionary Guards and Basij as its identified militia force, continue to force Afghans, including children, as well as some Pakistani immigrants, Syrian citizens, and Iranian children to join armed militant groups operating in the region."
Before that, several photos were published on social networks and in several media and news agencies inside Iran of the presence of children among the Basij militia forces during the violent suppression of protesters, especially on January 17 and 18 last year, as well as previous periods of interception suppression in various cities in Iran.
This report also mentions the campaign of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards to recruit children from the age of 12 to volunteer as "fighters defending the homeland" in April of this year.
