Russian President Vladimir Putin met with his Iranian counterpart Massoud Pezhkian in Turkmenistan on Thursday, October 16.

In this meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the meeting of the Commonwealth of Nations, the President of Russia expressed his willingness to take all necessary measures to help end the Iran war.

Putin told Pazhkian: "In turn, we are ready to do everything in our power to help you resolve this situation."

Pazhkian also informed Putin that Iran and the US are considering new proposals to end this conflict.

Pazhkian told the Russian president: "We presented proposals and the Americans also presented new proposals." We have made changes to these (new) offers. After finishing this process (making changes to the new proposals), we plan to meet with mediators and reach an agreement."
