Trump says America will not ground attack Iran before the midterm elections
The President of the United States says that this country will not launch a ground attack on Iran before the US midterm elections.
On Thursday, October 16, Donald Trump wrote in a post on his social network, Truth Social, that "we are having constructive discussions with the Islamic Republic of Iran."
He added: "I want to make it clear to everyone that although Iran is in a very bad situation economically and militarily, and while the blockade will remain in full force and oil will be transported in unprecedented quantities through the Strait of Hormuz, we will not launch a ground attack on Iran before the mid-term elections in the US, which will be held on November 3."
The President of the United States said that 22 million barrels of oil left the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday night and "not one barrel came from Iran or went to Iran!" He emphasized again that "Iran will not get nuclear weapons!"
