Following these reports, the police force of Sistan and Balochistan announced in a message confirming the shooting and the explosion, "following the explosion at the exit of two police teams from the police headquarters in the city of Gulshan and the subsequent shooting", one of these attackers was killed and several others were injured.

In the police statement, the attackers are called assassins.

Earlier, the "Tasnim" news agency, which is close to the Revolutionary Guards, reported that a police patrol unit in Jalek, the city of Serwan, was the target of an armed ground attack. This news agency said that the attackers first carried out a ground attack on the police patrol unit with a side bomb explosion, after which a militant armed clash took place between the attackers and the police forces.
