Attacks on two international airports in Saudi Arabia left three dead and dozens injured

The Saudi Civil Aviation Authority announced on Wednesday, October 15, that attacks on two international airports in the country killed three people and injured dozens, without identifying the perpetrators of these attacks despite recent exchanges of fire with Houthi forces in Yemen.

This institution announced in statements: "On Tuesday and Wednesday... Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport were the targets of attacks aimed at the facilities."

According to the Saudi Civil Aviation Authority, two Egyptian and Algerian citizens were killed at Abha Airport and a Sudanese citizen died at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.

Also, a total of 36 people were injured in these two ground attacks.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Houthis claimed responsibility for a wave of attacks on Saudi targets, including firing a ballistic missile at the Riyadh airport. This group is fighting with Saudi-backed government forces to capture more areas in Yemen.

The Houthis, who control most of northwestern Yemen, captured large parts of the coastal strip from pro-government forces in Yemen last month after the country's civil war flared up again in July.

The UN announced on Wednesday that more than 200,000 people have been displaced in Yemen as a result of these clashes.
