Iran's Interior Minister: I will convey the message of the Emir of Qatar on regional developments to Tehran

🔸 The Interior Minister of the Islamic Republic, who traveled to Doha, said on Tuesday, 14th of Mehr, that he will convey the message of the Emir of Qatar regarding regional developments to Tehran.

On the other hand, a Qatari official announced that Iran and America are still negotiating to end the Middle East war.

After meeting with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, in an interview with Islamic Republic Radio, Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni said that the Emir of Qatar raised issues regarding regional developments, which he will communicate to Masoud Pezeshkian upon his return to Iran.

He described the relations between Iran and Qatar as "good, fraternal, and constructive".

Ibrahim Al-Hashemi, a senior Qatari Foreign Ministry official, also taking into account the "concerns of various parties" at the ministry's weekly press conference, said regarding indirect negotiations between Iran and the US: "I can confirm that negotiations are ongoing and the exchange of messages between various parties continues through Qatar and its regional partners."

This Qatari official added: "As you know, the dimensions of this clash and the heavy cost that the entire world is paying require us to make our utmost efforts to end this situation immediately through a negotiated solution at the negotiating table."

In recent weeks, Doha has become the main mediator in negotiations between Iran and the US. Despite the establishment of a ceasefire after the 40-day war and several rounds of negotiations, Washington and Tehran still disagree on the opening of the Strait of Hormuz and the Islamic Republic's nuclear program.

Officials in Tehran say that the Strait of Hormuz will not be opened until the United States accepts Iran's "seven conditions". On the other hand, Washington has announced that Iran has lost control over this waterway, and reports have also been published about a significant increase in oil transit through the Strait of Hormuz.
