The President of the United States says that what caused the increase in diesel prices has nothing to do with the Strait of Hormuz, because according to him, unprecedented amounts of oil are now being exported almost every day.

On Monday, October 13, Donald Trump posted a message on his social network, TruthSocial, linking the rise in diesel prices to "refineries" and wrote: "Russian refineries are targeted by Ukraine, and our refineries in blue (Democratic) states like California are being shut down by "stupid Democrats."

The US President refers to the reports published in recent days about the increase in oil production from the Strait of Hormuz.

Kepler, the global shipping watchdog, said on October 13 that its data showed Middle East oil exports, excluding Iran, exceeded pre-war levels over the past week, despite attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz. Despite the increase in oil output from the Strait of Hormuz, the world oil price remains in the $100 per barrel range.
