The Pentagon is redeploying all American bombers from Fairford Air Force Base to the United States.
On Sunday, October 12, the United States Department of Defense confirmed that all American bombers are redeploying to the United States from Fairford Air Force Base in Britain.
The Pentagon, the headquarters of the U.S. Department of Defense, confirmed in its statement that this operation was carried out in recent days and that all bombers used in the operation related to the Iran war have returned to their main bases.
According to this announcement, the news regarding the transfer of fighter jets aimed at maintaining the security of personnel and military equipment was published days after these transfers.
🔸 Royal Air Force Fairford in southwest Britain, which was used by the U.S. military, was in the news last week with the arrest of several men suspected of illegal activity near it. Last Sunday, October 5, British counter-terrorism police arrested five men who blocked the road leading to this base in southwest Britain and allegedly possessed quantities of gasoline and explosives.
On Wednesday of the same week, British Prime Minister Andy Burnham said there were "strong indications" of Iran's connection to the suspicious activity that occurred near the British Fairford air base this past weekend.
The Iranian government "strongly" rejected this accusation and subsequently summoned the British ambassador in Tehran to protest.
However, British counter-terrorism police arrested a British-Iranian citizen on Thursday, October 9, in connection with the case of suspicious activities around the Fairford air base. 🔸 There is still no reliable news regarding the motive and purpose of the people who tried to approach the Fairford military base, and reports in the British media range from assassination threats to attempts to steal gasoline from this location.
Fairford was the only air base in Britain used by the country's government at the time, under the leadership of Keir Starmer, for the movement of American fighter jets during the Iran war.
