🔸 Rajishahar Prison under its former name "Gohardasht Prison" is located in the north of the city of Karaj, the capital of Alborz district.

The name of this prison is associated with the killing of political prisoners in 1967. With the beginning of these massacres in early August 1367, many political activists opposed to the Salami Republic, imprisoned in Rajishhar prison, were again tried and executed.

🔸 The name of this prison became popular after the political prisoners of the 2008 interceptions were transferred to it.

In recent decades, many political prisoners spent their sentences in this prison, and some were executed in this place. In recent years, Rajishhar Jail has been the scene of interception of a group of citizens for the possibility of executing some political prisoners.
