Trump: We will make a decision regarding Iran; Ghalibaf: Hormuz will not open until conditions are met
🔸 While US President Donald Trump said he faces a decision regarding Iran, with the outcome to be achieved "either the easy way or the hard way"; Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Parliament, said the same day that the Strait of Hormuz will not open until Iran fulfills seven conditions.
These statements come amid the ongoing diplomatic deadlock between Tehran and Washington and growing speculation about the possibility of renewing broader clashes.
🔸 Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said on Sunday, Mehr 12, in a speech before lawmakers in an open session of parliament, that until the "seven conditions" of the Islamic Republic based on the Islamabad Memorandum are met, the Strait of Hormuz will not open.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump told reporters on Saturday local time that he faces a "decision" regarding Iran, adding: "Iran is terribly broken. Therefore, the only question is whether the job will go the easy way or the hard way." He did not elaborate on the intended decision or its timing.
🔸 The US President said a day earlier that Iran's situation is "not good" and declined to explain Washington's next move.
