An American official says that two members of the Salami delegation to the UN General Assembly were deported from the country on Saturday, October 11, just days after being asked to leave the United States.
Barak Ravid, an Axios reporter, cited this American senior official as reporting that on Monday, the US State Department ordered the representative of the Republic of Salami to the UN to leave all members of the Iranian delegation immediately, but two Iranian diplomats did not comply with this order and stayed in New York.
This official said: "Marco Rubio, [the Secretary of State], is serious. Two more members of the Iranian delegation were still in New York long after the end of the UN General Assembly, and now they have been deported from the country."
According to him, on Friday the representative of the Republic of Salami was also informed that the US administration is aware of the presence of these two diplomats in New York and again they were asked to leave the country immediately. According to this report, one of these two diplomats left America on Friday night and the other on Saturday morning.
