He also claimed that the number of Saudi airstrikes and missile attacks has reached approximately 1,350 since the beginning of the new round of escalation in the clashes.

Military and medical sources announced on Friday that more than 70 people were killed in southwestern Yemen over the past 24 hours.

The new round of clashes in Yemen has intensified amid rising tensions surrounding the control of areas around the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. This strait connects the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden and is one of the most important international shipping routes.
