On Wednesday, October 8, the British Prime Minister raised the possibility of Britain returning to the European Union as "real options."

Andy Burnham is the first post-Brexit British Prime Minister to speak publicly about the country's rejoining the European Union.

Britain's prime minister said his centre-left government is ready to make a bid for Britain's re-membership in the European Union, if the majority of his country's people want it, after carefully weighing the pros and cons of all available options regarding relations between London and Brussels.

He stressed on Tuesday night during Labour's annual conference that he personally believes Britain has suffered more than it has gained from Brexit. The British Prime Minister also said that leaving the EU had led to "a decade of declining British economic growth" and it was time for "Britain to make a decision about its long-term relationship with its biggest trading partner". Andy Burnham promised to define "various options" for the future of the relationship with Europe ahead of a planned meeting with the 27 members of the bloc, which should take place soon.
