The "Doniya Akhtaz" newspaper writes that the reason for this difference in statistics is that the central bank's reports focus on "urban areas and a smaller basket of goods and services", while the statistics center considers a more diverse basket of goods to announce the inflation rate.

The announced statistics mean that Iranian households spent about 90% more on goods and services in September than last year. Based on what the Iranian media reflected in the latest report of the Statistics Center, the point-to-point inflation rate of the Food and Beverages group dropped from 128.1 percent in August to 121. 8 percent in September, but the inflation rate of "tobacco" reached a peak and reached 162 percent in the last month of the summer.

After tobacco, the group "Furniture, household appliances and their usual maintenance" with 124.6% and "Communications" with 122.7% recorded the highest price in a year.

Iran's Statistics Center also announced that the annual inflation rate rose from 69.9 percent in August to 73.6 percent in September, indicating an acceleration of the average price increase in the 12 months leading up to September compared to the corresponding period ending in September last year.
