Kaliningrad is a land belonging to Russia on the coast of the Baltic Sea, which is about 650 kilometers from the main land of this country and is between Poland and Lithuania, two NATO members.

Reuters reported on Wednesday, October 8 that this warning was sent to NATO in an unofficial diplomatic document, in which Moscow said that any attempt to "isolate" Kaliningrad could lead to a direct conflict and even a ground attack on decision-making centers in NATO member states.

NATO confirmed receipt of this document and announced that its activities and exercises do not pose a threat to Russia. A NATO spokesman also condemned the "threat to use force" and "irresponsible nuclear rhetoric." This warning was raised in a situation where tensions between Russia and European countries have increased and both sides accuse each other of increasing security threats.
