Gloucestershire police in southwest England announced on Sunday, October 5, that they had arrested several people citing the law that prohibits the use of explosives in this country.

These people, whose number, identity and nationality have not yet been published, were arrested near the Fairford Air Force base, which was the site of American bomber flights during the war with Iran for the past seven months.

According to the reports of the British media such as Sky News, in this context several residences in the village near this base were evacuated.

A special bomb disposal team is currently checking some private cars in this village.

In a statement from British local police, the incident on Sunday, which lasted several hours, was described as a "major security incident".

At the same time, the Reuters news agency reported, citing an eyewitness, that armed militant police forces blocked the entrance gate of the Farford base, and dozens of emergency, police and rescue vehicles can be seen in the village near the base.
